Policies, Disclosures and Legal

Just so we don't upset the powers that be:

I enjoy blogging about Native American history, but I need to make one thing clear.  I have Cherokee and Blackfoot heritage only.  I'm not carded by or affiliated with any tribe.  The opinions and expressions here are my own, not those of any Native American group.  My only aim is to educate and spread the love of history and respect for these people.  While my blog focuses on the Native point of view, I do try to be fair to other groups involved in Early American history.  Natives, Whites and others should feel comfortable reading my posts and commenting.

Blogging about Early American history is fun, but this can't be a free gig forever.  This blog will be running ads from Google AdSense, which means that by your clicking on those ads Google pays me a certain sum for each ad clicked.  Per current FCC guidelines, I must disclose this.

I have enabled the gadget to allow you to receive email updates when I post to my blog.  Because my readers' privacy is important to me, and it's nobody else's business really, I do not sell or disclosure my email lists.  I wouldn't know how to do that anyway.

All pictures used in this blog and on my Facebook page are from Creative Commons or are otherwise public domain.  Some information does come from Wikipedia.

I have allowed full commenting privileges.  You can comment as yourself, chose a handle or comment anonymously.  All I ask is that everyone stay on topic and be respectful.  Use common sense.  No porn, religion or politics, no racist or hateful speech, respect everyone's opinions.

If you have any questions or concerns you can post them in the comments section below.

  1. I enjoyed your post on Black Partridge, which featured a photo of a bust of the Native-American leader. Who sculpted that piece?
